What is pH-balanced?
The pH scale ranges from 0-14 and measures how acidic or basic a substance is. Normal, healthy skin has a pH between 4.5 to 5.5. Most deodorant bar soaps have a pH between 9.5 to 12.0, a difference in pH that can be harsh on the skin, leaving it dry and altering the skin pH level. All Essential Bath® products have pH levels between 4.7 to 4.9, well within the range of healthy skin.

Skin Check is a peel off guide that comes on every package of Sage Essential Bath® products to help monitor and report changes in skin condition. It was originally designed to improve communication in hospitals, but can be used by caretakers at any level to promote routine skin care.
